Sodium is a practice management platform for UK accountants. Today that means CRM, proposals, tasks, workflows, invoicing, and all the tools you need to run your practice efficiently. But we're just getting started.

Long before Xero existed, Duane Jackson founded KashFlow - the first cloud accounting platform. Later he built Staffology, which took a revolutionary approach to payroll technology and grew to become one of the largest payroll platforms in the country. He's spent over two decades building software in the accounting space and has made many mistakes along the way!

Duane's secret weapon behind the scenes on both KashFlow and Staffology was software architect Chaitanya Deshpande, who helped build and scale both platforms. His technical expertise complements Duane's product know-how and makes him the perfect partner for this next chapter.

Together, they're applying everything they've learned to build something new - a platform designed from the ground up for how modern accountancy practices actually work.

We believe there should be a modern, fully integrated suite covering client management, bookkeeping, tax, accounts, and everything in between — built to work seamlessly in today's world with AI agents and external services.

But today, accounting firms face two imperfect choices: stitch together great point solutions that don't truly talk to each other, or buy into an all-in-one suite that locks you into its often mediocre solutions for everything. Neither is good enough.

We're building the alternative. A connected suite where every product is fully integrated — one client record, one ledger — but you're never locked in. We integrate properly with other systems, and we want you to choose our products because they're better. Not because you're trapped.

We're starting with practice management because it's the foundation — the system of record — that everything else builds on. But our ambitions go much further.

You won't be forced into our bookkeeping. You won't be forced into our tax. You won't be forced into anything. As we build each new product, it will stand on its own merits — fully integrated, but never a lock-in.
